This is apparntly the coat of arms related to Robert Abell (d. 1663) of Massachusetts. His line of descent includes the Bowen, Carpenter, Thompson, Shepherdson familes of New England.

The Calvert coat of arms belongs to Lord Baltimore, founder of Maryland. Our family is descended from the first Lord Baltimore through his second son, Leonard Calvert, who came to St. Mary's City in Maryland as the first governor of Maryland. This line is related to several prominent colonial Maryland families including the Brooke and Boarman families.
