"Charles William Conley, aged 88 years, died last Monday at his farm, Green Ridge, near Fairland, this county. Mr. Conley was born in Washington and had lived at Green Ridge for the last 82 years.
"His family formerly owned much real estate in Washington and this county and was prominently concerned with Maryland affairs for many years.
"He is survived by two sons, Col. Edgar T. Conley, of Washington, and Dr. Charles H. Conley, of Frederick, and two daughters, Mrs. Eugene Jones, wife of State Senator Jones of Kensington, and Mrs. Helen M. Brown, widow of Dr. William T. Brown, who made her home with her father. Mrs. Conley died about 10 years ago.
"Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Fairland, and burial was in the church cemetery."
